Synopsis:

The Night of San Lorenzo, the night of the shooting stars, is the night when dreams come true in Italian folklore. An older woman remembers one such night towards the end of WW II when she was only six years old. She lived in a small town called San Marino and the Fascist and Nazis finally began to flee, leaving behind areas filled with mines. A number of villagers remained in the church trusting the promise of a German officer who guaranteed them safety. Others headed south to meet the American liberators…
