On a beautiful autumn Sunday, father and son spend the day together. They go fishing, discuss their relationship, try to solve their previous misunderstandings and make up for lost time.

Dad is a poetic story about the relationship between parents and children as well as the influence of the social situation on relationships between people. The film is devoted to Silvan Furlan, founder of the Slovenian Cinematheque.
