Synopsis:
In the summer of 1870, two writers, Eça de Queirós and Ramalho Ortigão, agree to a challenge to write a mystery novel for a daily newspaper. The story is published sequentially and soon their fiction becomes reality. Is it possible that in their writing they are describing real life? The writers begin to fight, all the time writing the next sequels, even as the police get involved…
