Synopsis:
It is the night of the theatre premiere of Shakespeare's tragedy Timon of Athens. Just as the frenetic applause dies down, the main actor Boris is in his dressing room receiving acclaim for having played the role of a lifetime. Everyone praises him, and Boris is exposed to critical reviews all day long. Thus convinced of his own invulnerability, he starts a relationship with a prompter, causing many rumors in the theatre. The theatre group begins its tour. They are received with standing ovations everywhere they perform, but Boris becomes less popular among his colleagues. In his private life, he begins to experience the fate of his character on stage...
