Jasmina Beširević

A graduate student of documentary directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art, Zagreb. Born in Zagreb but lived and studied in Germany and the US, where she completed an undergrad program in economics and a graduate program in pedagogy. Worked as a teacher for many years and attended various film workshops and schools.

Synopsis:

During the last days of the Zagreb Europa cinema, we follow Joža, the unofficial caretaker and the friendly spirit of the cult cinephile hangout. Joža’s love for film greatly surpasses the responsibilities of his job. We witness not only the end of a long career, but the end of an era, associated with the disappearance of traditional cinemas.
