Marko Škop

 

His film Other Worlds (2006) won Special Mention of the Jury at Karlovy Vary and was the first documentary in the festival’s history to win the Audience Award. Other films include documentary Osadné (Karlovy Vary 2009 – Best Documentary), fiction feature Eva Nová (Toronto 2015 – FIPRESCI Prize), and Let There Be Light.

Synopsis:

Following the success of his feature debut Eva Nová (Toronto 2015 – FIPRESCI Award), Slovakian director based in Zagreb, Marko Škop, brings a family drama about Eastern Europe’s moral responsibility and xenophobia.
