Synopsis:

A body of an unknown dead man washes up on the coast of Helsinki. Oili, a successful forensic dentist, works on the case. In her private life Oili is happy, calm and in love with a policeman. However, this crime, along with her younger sister Laura’s new friends, turns her life upside down.

Synopsis:

This film consists of six different interwoven stories that all take place over the course of an hour one Saturday. In the first story Anna, a young mother, tries to kill herself and her baby by drowning in a river that runs through her small town. Luckily, two teenagers notice her and save Anna and the baby. This event sets off the other five stories.

This upsets her new teacher, Miss Holm. Both of them are relentlessly stubborn and a battle of nerves begins… As If I Didn't Exist was the Finnish candidate for an Oscar in 2003.
