Synopsis:
The story is about a married couple – a successful writer, Giovanni Pontano, and his wife, Lidia. We see them on an afternoon visit to a dying friend in a hospital, at a party for Pontano’s newest novel, in a house of a wealthy industrialist and finally in their own nightly adventures - Lidia roams the streets of Rome, while her husband has an affair with the industrialist’s daughter…This film won the Golden Bear at the Berlin film festival.
