Synopsis:

The story begins during WW I when a young married couple, Elizabeth and John, get separated by the turmoil of war. Waiting for her husband to come back, Elizabeth works as a librarian in a local company. She is pregnant when she learns that her husband died. She is devastated and without any plans for her future.
