She was born in Tunisia in 1946. She studied the film arts in Paris at IDHEC. She worked as a scripter until 1972. Afterwards she became a production director at O.R.T.F. in Paris and later edited many films in Tunisia and other countries. Her feature film debut was
Samt el qusur (The Silences of the Palace, 1994). She also made
La saison des hommes (The Season of Men, 2000) and the TV film
Arte Nadia et Sarah (2003).
