Synopsis:

This is a historical war drama med in the documentarist style. It follows the events in the capital of Algiers during the fight for independence from France from 1954 to 1957. One of the protagonists is Ali who advanced from a small-time crook to one of the leading members of the Algerian National Liberation Front. The French caught him in 1957 and the film consist of his memories of the fight for independence.
