Synopsis:
Laura Henderson is a recently widowed rich old lady who has lost her son in WW I. In order to have something to do she buys a run-down theatre in London and hires the theatre director Vivian Van Damm. Even though they do not get along, they start with their first shows that soon become very popular. Unfortunatelly, other theatres start to copy them and they begin to lose money.
