A young woman’s corpse is found on the seashore. It looks as if the woman has been strangled by the belt of a man’s raincoat which was found around her neck. A young man, Robert Tisdall, is the main suspect. He runs away, looking for the man who stole his raincoat. A young and innocent girl Erica helps him… This is a laid-back thriller, famous for the camera’s drive across fifty meters to the face of the suspect, who cannot stop blinking his eyes and so reveals his guilt.
