Synopsis:

The protagonist of the film is Diego, a revolutionary in exile who is taking part in actions against Francisco Franco. Very often he travels from Paris to Spain under a different name. When returning from one of such trips he gets stopped at the border and his real identity is almost uncovered. Thanks to the daughter of the man whose name and passport he is using, he gets saved. When he tries to warn his comrades about potential danger, they think he is exaggerating. He is tired of failure, gets discouraged and starts to think that the fighting might be in vain and that they will not achieve anything.
