Modernity based on tradition
This film describes the Polish capital through the words and eyes of its visitors. One winter morning a group of unknown people, who at the end of the film will be connected by an event, gather in Warsaw. Among them are Victoria who is in town because of love, Pawel who is looking for a job, and Klara who has come to live with her fiancée…
In January 1999 in Warsaw the police find two bags with headless bodies in the river Vistula. The investigation shows that the murders are connected to the Russian underground and three friends, Adam, Stefan and Gerard.
The story is based on real events, and this film won the Golden Lion at the Polish film festival in 1999.
