Portugalski redatelj, studirao je filmsku i video produkciju te režiju u SAD-u. Karijeru je započeo devedesetih u Portugalu, režirajući brojne televizijske serije. Godine 2005. ostvario je dugometražni debut režiravši O Crime do Padre Amaro. Nakon dokumentarnog filma Bushy Mush (2008.) režirao je biografiju najpoznatije portugalske izvođačice fada Amália (2008.). Uslijedili su Uma Aventura na Casa Assombrada (2009.) i televizijski film Maria Coroada (2012.).
