Synopsis:

Miri is a thirty-seven year old flight attendant and a two-time widow who has had two husbands die at war. One day she returns home to find her Chinese housekeeper’s son, left behind while his mother goes out to run an errand. When the housekeeper does not return or answer her phone, Miri suspects she has been deported. With her sister Gila and brother-in-law Izzy’s help, Miri tries to return the boy to his mother. Further complicating matters, the boy speaks only Chinese.

Synopsis:

After the head of the Ulamn family dies, the rest of its members try to cope with their loss, each in their own way. Mother Dafna stays in bed for three weeks, letting her teenage daughter Maya take care of the household, while the daughter’s musical career suffers. Her twin brother Yair gets suspended from school for problems stemming from his newly emerging nihilism. Six-year-old Bahr is neglected, while her younger brother Ido constantly films everything with a camera.

Synopsis:

Herzl is an overweight cook who is unlucky in life. He is fired from a salad bar because of his poor looks and is even kicked out of a weight-loss program. However, it seems he will finally get a chance at a new job as a dishwasher in a Japanese restaurant. Its owner is Kitano, a former sumo trainer on the run from the yakuza. There, Herzl realizes that the sumo world honors and respects overweight people. He gets together a group of his friends and asks Kitano to train them.
